Shine Bright Like a Diamond…

19 years since my last visit, so much has changed. The raw Shanghai I remember of streets being built by men in “suits” and the dust and pollution and the conveys of bicycles are now gone. Today… there is skyscraper galore, pollution (of course), blue skies too, plus plenty of designer and global branded stores in mega malls, as well as top notch fine dining restaurants all dotting along The Bund.

A few blocks back and some exploring to be done by foot or hope on the metro and take a few stops out of central Shanghai and you can uncover some of the Old Shanghai… but what is left is not that old but NEW and redone and renewed!
